M. Beatrice Grause, R.N., J.D. Since coming to the Association in 2001, Bea’s focus has been to help Vermont hospitals lead system-wide changes. She is also the primary spokesperson for VAHHS. She received her Juris Doctorate in May 1991 from Santa Clara University School of Law and her BSN from Boston College in 1979. Before moving to Vermont, Bea worked in a variety of health care positions in Washington, D.C. Prior to entering the field of law, Bea worked for ten years as a Registered Nurse primarily in the Emergency Room and Intensive Care areas. Bea also served as President of a local independent nursing association for three years prior to entering law school. |

Jill Olson Jill Olson develops policy positions and advocate on issues related to quality improvement and patient safety, performance reporting, inpatient mental health and long term care. She has been with the Association since 2002. She earned her master of public administration from Columbia University in 1995 and became the special assistant to the director of Montefiore-Rikers Island Health Services, the health service for New York’s largest jail shortly thereafter. In 1998 she came to Vermont and worked in quality improvement first at Kaiser Permanente and then as director of quality improvement at Blue Cross and Blue Shield. |
Michael Del Trecco Mike has been involved in health care finance in one form or another since 1990. His work experience ranges from development of Information Technology cost accounting systems to Medicare Regulatory oversight. The majority of his work has focused on teaching hospitals reimbursement functions and enhancing revenue cycle systems. In 1999 he moved to Vermont and worked as the Director of Reimbursement for Fletcher Allen Health Care and in November of 2004, he accepted the position of Vice President of Finance at the Association. Here, his duties are two-fold: internal financial operations and also direct involvement with developing policy positions and advocating on issues that relate to financial health care reform which have direct impact on VAHHS member hospitals. |
